Bayannur No.1 Middle School


In this project, the space criticism of the prevailing slab teaching building becomes the starting point of the design. In order to make the outdoor space of the campus have more openness and sense of place, the first floor of the building is partially overhead, and the space is connected with each other at the bottom floor, giving people more possibility to walk. The campus is like a movie, which is composed of vivid and rich space fragments. The corridor, changeable outdoor stairs, steps and other elements connect the stories. The teaching building is divided into five relatively independent and interconnected teaching groups, i.e. high school one, high school two, high school three, biochemical experiment and other public teaching. On this basis, five courtyards are conceived through five ways of human behavior: Meditative courtyards, wandering courtyards, scrutinizing courtyards, watching courtyards and sitting and resting courtyards. By reconstructing a simple square inner courtyard space, montage is used to enrich and strengthen these five fragments of campus life. In order to make the outdoor space of the campus have more openness and sense of place.
