Chinese Embassy in Vanuatu

The base is located in Port Vila, the capital of Vanuatu in the South Pacific Islands. It has a tropical marine climate. The base is square with a height difference of about 3M. The west side of the base is the main road leading to the city center, and the north and east sides are adjacent to a golf course. The embassy plan adopts the compound layout, which integrates the office building, visa office, Embassy residence and the residence of the traditional embassy with the residence of the librarian, creating the traditional inward courtyard space of "four water return to the hall".

The embassy is divided into four areas: office building, visa office, Embassy residence and staff apartment, which are connected and need to be strictly separated. The first floor of the building is mainly for external functions: Embassy reception, banquet, logistics, visa processing and other functions, and the second floor is for internal functions such as ambassador residence, confidential office and so on. The external facade of the building is solemn, solid and defensive; the internal surface is airy and light, providing comfortable and pleasant courtyard space. The main building adopts the white walls and grey tiles of traditional southern residential buildings, and the interior interface adopts the anti-corrosion wood grid, which can provide shade and ventilation while increasing the privacy of the Embassy's sight. The unified modular size and standard components make the building form unified, simple and easy to construct.
