The magazine said in its review that the fifth generation of architects focused on architectural ontology, explored the tight relationship between city and architecture, people and environment, and speculated between tradition and modernity. They base themselves in cities and villages, focus on the world and take root in local areas, actively respond to the challenges brought by The Times, and develop flexible and more adaptive practical strategies. It is these excellent fifth-generation architects that together constitute the backbone of contemporary Chinese architects.
